This Hive nest was probably the very first created by the Queen, or perhaps, the Queen herself spawned from here. Nothing is for certain, other than that the theoretical origination of the Perseus Hive species came from that cold, dark world it orbits around, called the 'Dark Core'. How the Hive developed into a spacefaring organism is unknown, but that their unique carapace development similar to graphine makes them unique in the known universe.
