Briefing

As losses increased in multiple defeats across the Empire's borders -- in desperation to fight their new, more advanced enemy, the Sol Imperium -- a new frigate was created to hold off the Sol advance until more powerful capital ships came on line. The Battalion was fitted with a force field that matched similarly sized ships of the Sol fleet, but with stronger armor. It also used experimental technology to enhance the triple beams' range by 1000km, allowing for a more balanced fight against Sol frigates. Production of this ship continues to this day, as its popularity with captains for its survivability in combat grows with every Sol encounter.
