Briefing

When it was clear that the Sol Imperium could theoretically impose a threat to the core Genari worlds, the need for a more powerful base was indicated. The border defense stations were simply insufficient, nor did they have the range to counter some of the more advanced Sol plasma technologies. A large construction effort was commissioned by Matriarchs Portegha and Hendevanegh to better defend the core worlds with these superbases, that also acted as command centers for regional administrators. They boast multiple shipyards and repair bays, and can put out a tremendous amount of firepower to any ship that gets within range.
