Briefing
Captain Mal Ghara Talagh, one of the descendants of the Talagh Matriarchy was also one of the catalysts for a mass defection by Talagh to the Helix. After the Unification of the Four Empires without their influence on their power base on Gazah, many squadron commanders took their fleets with them, many with the Interdictor being their flagships. In the case of Mal Ghara, he took his destroyer Devious and did his own modifications on what he thought would improve his warship. He was one of the first to make a cordial relationship with defectors from Sol Imperium in the Helix; and thus access to exchange of technology: Specifically weapon systems. He was intrigued by the Sol plasma beam; and always felt that its use was the biggest reason for Genari's failure to recapture Imperium zones. So he replaced the Genari laser beams with Sol-based PB-4 plasma beams, but kept everything else intact, including the boarding pods. Some superstructure loss was inevitable however, but acceptable. The ship has been repainted with a 'bird of freedom' emblem which is quite popular with Genari defectors. Boarding Pods: 5
