First Honor

Briefing

The First Honor was the fastest frigate in the Genari-Sol conflict until the Gorshkov Assault frigate matched its engine output fifteen years later. It is the ideal close combat warship, specifically made for captains that like to strike hard up close and escape the ensuing enemy retaliation. Without any force fields, the use of natural obstacles such as moons and asteroids is vital in tandem with its speed. The wings are unique in that the armor plating around the ship was enhanced around the engines, protecting them from damage. On SY2178, Captain Moshgir was confronted by a Liverpool Frigate and a Mendi Corvette while defending a region alone. Instead of going on an attack, he shut down all systems, and acted dead in space. Even though the ships fired on him, he did not respond. Thinking his crew were dead, the two Sol ships approached his ship with the intention of towing it back to Sol space. That was when Moshgir activated his ship, and managed to fire all three lasers at the Corvette, destroying it outright; and simultaneously launch all three marine pods at the Frigate. His marines took out more than half the crew of the Frigate; with the chaos that ensued, the Frigate was vulnerable and was easily dispatched. With only minor damage, he had destroyed both ships in a rather unique strategy. It was then termed Moshgir's Gambit, which was employed several times since. Most Sol captains are not fooled by this tactic anymore however.
