Briefing

The Halifax is the newest Frigate design to come off the Sol Naval shipyards; and it takes a radical turn from the standard Sol ideology for weapon loadouts. Instead of mounting any beam weapons, it boasts two PB-2A plasma warhead launchers, which in themselves, take up a lot of mass. For close combat tactics, Vice Admiral Molavi saw the Genari Firebolt Frigate as an inspiration for this design . The PB-2A's stability cores were integrated with the design of the ship itself -- Benson Dynamics helped in modifying the missile launchers to greatly improve their accuracy and range. This ship is still untested against a Firebolt Frigate however, and most theories is that you need a better captain to beat that Genari counterpart.
