Briefing

It is uncertain when this unique and rather deadly entity appeared defending its home; but it introduced an entirely new weapon never seen before. In essence, the plasma launcher is an energy missile that has an astounding level of accuracy and range. Its effectiveness proved to be a new danger for invading Genari forces. When the armada of Star Commander Ghafheh was successfully engaging several liths at close range, his flagship the Firestorm Cruiser Bloodborn started receiving fire from an unknown source out of scanner range. He first thought it might be some sort of Hive base; but when his frigates turned to the source of the attack, they isolated a cruiser-sized organism. They eventually out-powered it at close range, but not without some heavy casualties on his flagship. And that is the weakness of the Bombardier, it does not have the speed or regenerative properties of other Hive entities, but it could become a significant danger against Sol and Genari stations, if Hive ever collectively begins migrating out of the Perseus cluster.
