The first Genari heavy cruiser, the Starfire took the role of a close-combat heavy capital ship with its large payload of missile weapons. However, as big as these ships were becoming, they all lacked in one thing that gave Sol the advantage: Long range weaponry. In fact, with the advent of the Sol Nagara Cruiser, they had created the ultimate siege cruiser. Matriarch Meevegh considered the possibility of taking what Sol had done and pushing it further: By creating a mobile battlestation that could carry reinforced heavy laser cannons usually seen on the Kalah and Sanethi battlestations. The Great Wing as the final product -- a massive cruiser that spanned over 1700 meters in width and mounted a devastating array of heavy laser cannons. The Genari United Empire now had its own siege cruiser that could take on the Sol Imperial border defense stations.
