Starfire

Briefing

With every new, heavier class of warship Genari pioneered, a similar Sol variant would appear, with its advanced technology outpacing the Genari version. Now cruisers were getting bigger, heavier, and more powerful engines were needed to support them. The twin engines designed for the Guardian light cruiser were repurposed to support a third engine, thus delivering enough power to support this massive cruiser. Its quad wing design belied its maneuverability -- even though it was 30% heavier than a standard cruiser. Heavily armored, it made the 'invincible' cruisers like the Firestorm and Montana look vulnerable. In many ways, the Starfire is more of a missile cruiser, supporting 5 fission warheads, capable of doing tremendous damage up close. For range, its triple heavy laser beams pack a strong punch at a relatively good distance. The Starfire also became the most heavily armored warship for its time.
