Nova

Briefing

Commissioned by Nova Commander Ghazni, the current military leader of the Empire under the four Empress Matriarchs, this very expensive super-capital class warship is now the pride of the Genari Star Empire. Taking seven years to build, many engineers thought it could not be done, and not the way Ghazni wanted it. It is a remarkable looking battleship, with a logical design flow meant not only to awe both friend and foe, but with the ability to travel faster than most ships in darkspace. This warship alone can take on entire fleets of the Sol Navy, and to overpower the Sol heavy cruisers that have been giving other Genari capital ships a hard time. Supporting five powerful heavy lasers, combined with five of the highest yield fission warheads available, it can produce enough firepower to destroy a cruiser outright. The Nova is meant to stop all Sol incursions into Genari space by simply eradicating them. Ghazni believes that this battleship and the ones to come after his own will be the flagships that will cleanse Genshai of Human interference, turning back the tide. And it really does reflect its namesake: Nova -- with its ten hardpoints of tremendous destructive firepower going in all directions. In rare cases that this powerful warship got itself into trouble, its specially designed engines could get it out of combat faster than a light cruiser, making it especially popular with Nova Commanders.
