Engineering and design is pretty much a lost trait in most Genari captains, as the female technologists usually focus on technology, and the makes are sent and trained only for war. But Force Commander Khosrow Zeranghi always had a significant interest in the evolution of Genari weapon systems. Since he had no voice in the Matriarchal hierarchy, his defection to the Helix allowed him to freely experiment with his own designs. He always felt that the Interdictor could be improved by becoming a close combat brawler with fission weapons only; high yield damage combined with low cost in power -- and the speed of the Interdictor allows it to approach at point blank range and unleash its volley. The trio of FW-8 missile launchers do pack a massive punch; but at much more limited range. The only downside seen is the reduced number of boarding pods and slightly lowered wing armor to support these launchers. This warship has also been painted with the bird of freedom emblem similar to its cousin, the Devious Interdictor. Boarding Pods: 4
