Pirate Clans - SHIP
Briefing
There were a surprisingly large number of the top-tier human pirate commanders that really took on a liking to the Genari Battleborn. Its large boarding complement and strong defensive capabilities kept these commanders alive in deep sorties beyond the Helix nebula. A particularly famous pirate captain, Commander Liam Trudeau came up with his own design. After multiple successful boarding actions on vulnerable Sol ships through his career with his Battleborn, he decided to retire, but keep his warship as his flagship. He did miss Sol Imperium shields and weaponry -- so he stripped both the boarding pods and systems replacing them with Sol technology. It improved on every aspect other than engine power, making it a tougher ship to kill, with superior firepower. Because of his love of New Terra and what it represented, he had his ship immaculately painted with the Free Peoples' of Sol freedom flag.
